A calendar is one of the few forms of advertising that stays in your client's sight all year round — on the wall, on the desk or in a pocket. While most advertising is forgotten within days, a good calendar carrying your brand works for 365 days. In this article we look at the types of calendars, how to choose the right one and — most importantly — when to order so it is ready for January.
Why a calendar still works
A calendar is not just dates. It is long-term brand presence in your client's daily routine: people glance at it dozens of times a day, so your logo, contact details and visual identity are always within reach. It is also a genuine gift gesture to clients and partners at the end of the year — useful and welcome.
Types of calendars
The main types people order most often:
- Wall calendars — large and highly visible; ideal for offices and shops.
- Desk calendars (three-month or spiral-bound) — they sit on the desk all year, right in front of the eye.
- Spiral-bound calendars — easy to flip through, they give a quality impression.
- Pocket calendars — inexpensive, suited to large runs, an excellent add-on to an order.
- Poster / single-sheet calendars — the whole year on one page.
- Tear-off calendars — a separate page for every day.

Wall calendars
Wall calendars are a classic for offices, production facilities and shops. They can carry one larger image per month or a photo of your own brand for each month. The large format means your logo and contact details are visible from a distance — a good choice when you want maximum visibility.
Desk calendars
Desk calendars (three-month or spiral-bound) stand right at the client's workplace, which means your brand is in front of them every working day. They are a popular business gift because they are useful and look well made.
When to order calendars
The most important point: calendars are a seasonal product, and demand rises sharply in the second half of autumn. For calendars to be ready by the end of the year or the start of January, the order needs to be placed in good time:
- Autumn (September–October): the ideal window — enough time for design and production without rushing.
- November: still possible, but production is busy — expect longer lead times.
- December: risky — rush orders and limited options.
A tip: if you want a custom design or a larger run, start in early autumn.
How to prepare for your order
- Design: you can do it yourself or use our designer's help.
- Photos and logo: prepare good-quality images and a vector version of your logo.
- Quantity: think about clients, partners and staff — the larger the run, the lower the cost per unit.
